Blueberry Lemonade Wine Cocktail Recipe
Cool off on those hot summer days with this 5-minute, super quick and super tasty blueberry lemonade wine cocktail. It’s so refreshing!
I remember when I was a kid hearing all of the women around me complain about the heat and hot flashes and flat out being miserable in the summer. It made no sense to me. How it must stink to be an old lady! But no longer a spring chicken myself, I’m starting to feel the woes of those I overheard as a kiddo and these days I can completely sympathize.
I straight up went to the doctor proclaiming that I was having hot flashes and going bald. In all honesty, I’m not much of one to look in the mirror so when I did one day and noticed a patch about the size of a plum that appeared to be missing from the top of my head where I would cut bangs if I had the face for it, I panicked. Where is my hair? Where did it go? How long has this been happening? And why in name of all that is holy does nobody ever give you a heads up about this crap? You know a “hey, is something going on with your hair right here?” or “You might want to check out your hair around this area.” But then again I’m the chick that ran around town WITH SOMEBODY (not all alone) with a smear of blood from my cheekbone to where my jaw and ear meet for an entire afternoon without being told. I had been experiencing a lot of bloody noses but still it was BLOOD and he said NOTHING. Ew, right? Help a gal out, amIright?
But at any rate, the doctor laughed at me about the hot flashes (still a little too young for that it would seem) and it just turns out that it’s just friggin’ hot and humid here and, as it turns out, medications can sometimes make it difficult for your body to regulate its own temperature making you overheat more easily which I found interesting (the more you know, right?) And basically I just need to figure out ways to cool myself off. Figuring I earned it, why not a super tasty blueberry lemonade wine cocktail that is cool and refreshing and only takes a few minutes to whip up? It can also be made as a mocktail substituting white grape juice for the wine!
Oh, and by the way, I’m not losing my hair ’cause I know you’re crazy concerned about that 🙂 Yep, it’s still there, it’s just turning freaking WHITE making it really hard to see close to my scalp! 🙂
